Amnesia: The Dark Descent DX9 Compatible?

Just downloaded/installed Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I want to play it using TriDef 3D Ignition 2.7.5 - for 3D game play. However, TriDef currently only works with DX9. I cannot seem to launch Amnesia via Steam with a DX 9 launch option (I get error message about main init file not loading). Do you have any recommendations? If I specify NO options at load time, the game launches correctly - but I do not have 3D display! The Frictional Games support system does not address this topic. Does Amnesia support DX9 (and 3D) game play and, if so, how?

Additionally, I tried using iZ3D's Stereo Driver (with Beta 2 DirectX 10 support) for 3D display, but it did not work either.

Maybe it has no TriDef support? Not sure though.
