Not Solved Freezing in first Black Plague scene

Every time I try to play Black Plague I can't get past the first scene before it freezes. Usually it happens when I pick up the glowstick but this time I didn't pick up the glow stick but it froze when I examined the mattress (which hadn't happened before).
