You should really do some explorign yourself.

To answer yoru candle question - Click on the candle, then there should be 2 tabs at the right hand side, click on the 2nd one and then there should be text saying LIT, and a box besides it, untick the box.

As for you're other question I'm not sure maybe delete the level cache and see if that helps. Although I've never had to do that.
