Hello, I downloaded the demo of the game and noticed that he is slow when I have to create a profile in the game (Start New Game), especially when I start the game slows down.

I am attaching the log "hpl" and the specifications and settings on my computer (I have a notebook as well - setting it is better - but use it only for college and work).

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3)
CPU Type: Intel Pentium 4 631, 3000 MHz
System Memory: 1024 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM)
Video Adapter (Video Card): NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache ™ 32-bit (512 MB).

Importantly, has also set up the game on "launch game" under the "Problem B: Amnesia is slow" section of the same Technical Support.

Your system is to old Sad

Amnesia System Requirements
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
Processor: 2.0Ghz (Caution when using an older or low cost CPU, such as Intel Celeron or AMD Sempron, their performance might not match this requirement. )
Memory: 2048MB
Disc Space: 3GB
Video Card: Radeon X1000/GF 6 (Integrated graphics will likely not work. Low cost video cards may perform worse, or not work at all, even if they are much newer than older medium to high range cards. )

Yes, your system doesn't have all the requirements to play the game

but you can try to lower all the settings to the lowest possible and if it still doesn't work your can try to lower the resolution too.

I have a dual core 2.6GHZ Intel, 2GB DDR, with nvidia 260GTX with 260.99 drivers installed.
I have installed game patch 1.01
I am sure that my PC has more than ample specs to run this game!

BUT:
I also get the "Renderer #0" error msg and once in a while - the game will actually start.
When it <does> start - the graphics are soooo painfully slow - even at the default 1024/768. It is totally uplayable at 1680x1050

Whats going on??

Turn of the Steam overlay if you are using Steam. Also check so that you are not using edge smooth and a SSAO above 8x and set to medium.

Intel doesn't support OpenGL correctly.
It's pretty much Intel's fault.

So yeah get an ATI or an nVidia graphics card or you are pretty much doomed.
You could also try to ask Intel about OpenGL support.

No Intel Integrated Graphics does not support OpenGL correctly. It has nothing to do with Intel CPUs.

The user is using an NVIDIA 260GTX which should work perfectly fine to run the game.

I recently bought the retail version of Amnesia: The Dark Decent and I did all of the updates and everything and it installed fine. It would also go through the beginning where it tells you how to get the best experience fine, but then after it loads to the page where you create or open a file to start playing, it would freeze then unfreeze after a few seconds for less than a second then freeze again .

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 1
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics
memory of 3gb
hard drive of 250gb
and a processor of AMD Athlon X2 4450e and its a dual-core processor
