Amnesia Startup Crash (Blackbox Error)

Everytime I startup Amnesia the following problem appears:

Amnsesia.exe has caused an EXEPTION_ACCESS_VOILATION in module
Amnesia.exe at 001B:00461DAA

Please help! I am a big fan of Penumbra and Amnesia!

I have the latest OpenGL and Nvidia 7300 GT (My graphics card) driver. I've played the game before, that's before my computer got it's C drive wiped due to viruses ETC, I used to have XP Service Pack 2, now I have Service Pack 3. (I thought this might be important because Service Packs differ quite a bit).

Desired hpl.log is under Documents/Amnesia/Main, please post it.

Umm..That's the only hpl file I could find, man. Anything else which might be of use?

This from the game folder. Go to:

My Documents/Amnesia/Main folder and there you will find the corrent HPL.log file. Please attach this one here so that we can help you.

Erm, not sure your drivers is up to date. If nvidia doesn't provide new drivers, you can use opensource drivers.

I downloaded the driver just last month. Besides, I have played it before. Just before my computer got wiped. Thanks for the info anyway. I'll have a more in-depth look tomorrow.

If you have 32 bit xp, this driver should be latest one and most likely to solve your problem: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-275.3...river.html

Tansel said what I wanted so yes, install this driver which is the latest one. It was released just 2 days ago. If that doesn't work then you need to buy a new graphics card. It seems that the current one cannot support OpenGL 2.1.
