My graphics card is Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

This error is preventing me from playing Amnesia. I have tried checking the website for drivers update but the ones im downloading it keeps saying its incompatible and in the read me it shows the driver im using. Anyone know why this is happening?

PS
Yes i have the SSAO and Edge smooth off, i have it on a 1024x768 resolution and tried it in windowed mode.

Make sure you have v1.2 patch if retail or the latest update if steam. What operating system do you have and which laptop model exactly?

Are you sure your model 3738z? This model is using a different intel graphics card. It has Intel® HD Graphics and not Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family. What model do you have then?

If you want send me via pm your product code so that I can find the drivers that way. Sometimes, laptops may have two names.

you said 3738, not 5738. That's why... Here we go then:

1) Try installing this first(from Acer, old driver):

http://tiny.cc/zt6be

2) If it doesn't work try this(from Intel, newer driver):

http://tiny.cc/qf7vb

If number two doesn't work then your graphics card is not capable or running the game.

Ok will try them out. Will let you know once ive done.
My net is slow at the moment but i will keep you up to date on how the graphic video cards goes.
Do i need to restart after i install a graphics card driver?
ok the 2nd setup says The driver being installed is not validated for this computer.

Any ideas why?

The driver you're currently using (the Acer one?) is not compatible with the Intel one. Uninstall it doing this:

1. Open Add or Remove Programs.
2. Find the driver for your graphics card.
3. Right click, uninstall.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Install the driver you're going to use.
6. ???
7. Hopefully, profit!

If both of those drivers don't work, then I don't know what to say. You could try to search for some nice custom drivers, but Intel cards are generally not good cards for gaming.
