HPL2 Level editor not starting

Ok, so i've got Amnesia and i've recently downloaded the HPL level editor suite from frictional games wiki, but for some reason when i start it up the window (apart from the outline) is invisible. I cant quit until i start task manager, to which it then stops working entirely and stops responding. I would post the log but im afraid it hasn't changed since it never started.

I extracted the editor in my redist folder. Amnesia works perfectly so i'm im completely dazzled as to why it doesnt work. There was once last night when i got it to work and i was on it for an hour or so with no problems. Can anyone help me?

No, its completely see through. I have an NVIDEA GeForce 8600 GT, AMD dual core processor and 2gb ram?

Here you go, i also just found HPL.txt in the redist folder and it says

ERROR: Unable to open config file 'MainEditorSettings.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!
ERROR: Unable to open config file 'C:/Users/Kitchen/Documents/HPL2/ParticleEditor.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!

Maybe this has something to do with the crashes?
