What's casting that spotlight in the menu picture? From the rays' center point, whatever it is, it's just off screen. If it's supposed to be the moon, the rays wouldn't curve like that. The moon is far away. Besides, rays usually occur in dusty areas, or foggy areas or otherwise polluted ones. That might be the case here, but then it would have to include the entire city. Right?
What does the dark pointlights do ? They shouldn´t do anything if they are completely black right ? Frictional games also used black spotlights a lot in their maps. I never understood that... any help ?

If they are 100% black, then yes, they are invisible. They might be used for effects though. Perhaps they have a faint flicker enabled that allows them to just slightly light up an area at times. They can also be script triggered, and turn on or change properties during the level. If they aren't 100% black, as in 0.03 or so in RGB, then they ARE visible. They'll just be a very small detail (but yet important for the overall environment).
