I think it all has to do with the tendency that people are more used to male dead bodies than female, I mean, if an attractive female character dies in a movie, it affects me more than a male dying.

...but if female corpses are more disturbing, wouldn't they prefer to use them? It's a horror game after all.
My guess would be that it's because their 3D artist was male and most male artists find it harder to model females. Same thing the other way round, btw, female artists often seem to prefer modeling women.

Well, if there were corpses of naked women models in the game, I'm sure by now we would have seen a couple of "Amnesia Porn" CS's. Maybe that is an idea of why naked women were not included in the game to avoid the creation of PORNOGRAPHY.

I guess males fit the game better as all those dead males were tortured.
However there is one woman being tortured however not mentioned, it is quite obvious the woman telling the girl to go trough the hole in the prison maze in a desperate sense of saving her child.
