Because any of the above would mean you don't absolutely 100% worship the game/devs, so all the zealots here would gang up on you and show how internet savvy they are by posting random memes or encrypted insults.

There may be such an attitude(?) in general. The negative attitude towards the original poster in this thread was due to the fact that he complained about a subtitle error which was fixed two years ago. This implied that he had downloaded the game illegally and then came here to complain about it, which is sort of lame behaviour in my opinion.

@Acies: It seems to me like he's the sort of person who doesn't like a game and feels obliged to consistently talk trash about it. For instance, on another forum, I saw this post.

this is what im getting on about. the kids who made this game just decided that they shouldnt test it properly and instead say it was random events. which is why you guys should stop giving these fag kids money for it. i just tell the fanboys "good job". enjoy this lame space invaders ripoff.

He doesn't like the game. That does not entitle him to complain about it on a forum dedicated to the game. Secondly, he doesn't have his facts straight because the game is in no way related to Space Invaders.

Why does it seem like no one realizes that there is a common grammatical error in Amnesia?

Surely a game developer would have picked it up, before releasing a retail game, right?

After activating and falling down the elevator, there is a flashback moment where Alexander explains to Daniel that the next area is the dungeon.

The subtitles read as follows:



"Perhaps I forgot to mention. One of my duties as a Baron is that of a warden. This is were prisoners are locked up."



Did you see it? DID YOU SEE IT?



Let me make it clearer:



"This is WERE prisoners are locked up."



Really Frictional? How could you miss this. Fire the dude who wrote the subtitles. Who knows.

When "A Machine For Pigs" comes out, a hint could say:



"Be careful! There is a Pug coming to thrill you!"



Check it yourself, but it's there.

Please Frictional, fire the subtitle guy. Fix this...It bothers me.

Because he wasn't sugarcoating anything, whatever were his thoughts (negative or positive) he wasn't afraid to share them. (which then lead to 5 pages of debate/arguing)

Same here. I found him unnecessarily harsh, and judgmental several times, but overall I liked his input/criticism on certain things, even if it was just as a good read without me agreeing on his point sometimes.
