RE: Stuttering ?! Why ?
(09-10-2013, 09:25 PM)CalinTM Wrote: Ok, now it's getting dark outside here and i want to play the game, but i have some nasty stuttering and freezes. My PC can handle this game, please devs make a patch to fix the stuttering and freezes, i'm walking through the game and the game starts to stutter and freeze. I loaded TDD and that one doesn't have any stuttering. So please fix this, i can't really play the game...
For people to understand it stutters like unreal engine 3 games...
my game is too

RE: Stuttering ?! Why ?
It's the exact same issue from TDD. Every time there is a minor "event", the game stutters. It's infuriating.

RE: Stuttering ?! Why ?
Maybe I can try installing it to my SSD and see if that fixes it since one of the reasons they've said above for stuttering is a slow HDD.

RE: Stuttering ?! Why ?
I can sure You that any solution that we have at the moment can't help You with the stuttering. I have the same problem and many users too. Jens all day long was tryin' to tell me that this is not fault of the game itself but a problem between game and our specifications, thic problem is so uncommon and there won't be any patch for that probably. Many users said the same thing as You (including me) so no frames dropped, no lags but stuttering in every new place, every new event, any new woice in the background.
We can only hope that they will realise how common the problem is and will fix that as soon as possible.

You don't have to but if u want to... many tried and everyone have the same problem still.
It has to be an engine problem cuz many said that Penumbra, Amnesia "1" had the same issues. Many streamers have the same problem and people who did reviews also.
The crucial sentences from Jens ""Yes, of course it is not good that there is this issue. But chances are there is no patch possible to make, as the problem might most likely be with hardware/software conflicts or potential issues outside of the game."

RE: Frame-rate issues...

Even with all the settings on low it still gives me these framerate issues
Then it might be a game issue since many people with high-end hardware seem to experience these. I'm waiting for the steam patch and then will try it again on my system (3570K, 660 Ti, Win8 x64).
Also, same issues and Merged!

RE: Stuttering, Small freezes and framerate Issues
I had this with TDD as well
TDD installed to a 1 TB, 7200 RPM HDD -> Stutters
MFP installed to a 840 Pro SSD -> Stutters
I have 2 670s (SLI disabled for both games), an i5 2500K OC'd to 4.2 GHs and 8 GB RAM. It's definitely not my hardware causing these problems. I've tried every tweak in the book with the NVIDIA CP and nothing helps at all.
And no, there are no heat issues, viruses, etc.
It's something to do with the way HPL streams stuff in. You guys really need to look into fixing this.
