RE: ALIEN: Isolation

Feels difficult on highest setting, don't think I'll be turning it down though.

Absolutely amazing game so far no quips (except the frustration but I brought that onto myself =P)

I hope SEGA gives enough time and they optimize this game well.

Very well optimized, running perfectly on my 7850 at max settings.

I wonder if the Frictional guys will be playing it? Would love to hear their thoughts.

Finished finally. Best AAA horror game made in a long, long time. Very well paced and designed. We need more from this team.

I've only watch an hour or two of Let's Plays and love it based on those, so once I have the money I'll definitely buy it. Seems it's also generating a lot of positive word of mouth, which is great.

Expect if you do not count what IGN and Gamespot had to say about this game.
In future, I'll make sure I won't judge the games from their reviews.
Be it company paying for the review sites to lower the score or not, these reviews were far too harsh in any degree to give those scores.
I bet this is a phenomenal game, basing what the real opinions are.

Ye, who would've expected the game to be hard on hard difficulty.

Them and their review criteria. I believe when the Advanced Warfare comes out, they be like:
11/10, best gaem liek 4ever. It's no doubt the companies fund them to raise or lower the score in some cases.

Like M$ funded Polygon to lower the scores of every single exclusive for PS3.

RE: ALIEN: Isolation

I was so depressed when I found out that I have actually skipped the medic kit recipe, that and many others due to the fact I was being hunted all the time..

I had put 4-5 hours into the game when I couldnt progress anymore because I couldnt heal myself..

Why could not the developers make the recipes available through the entire game untill you pick it up?

Overall, I was enjoying the game alot until I hit the wall.
Im not gonna play this in a while again..

I see that you other people managed to finish it without problem, I guess I was just really really unlucky lol.

RE: ALIEN: Isolation

I only ever trust two sources for reviews: friends, online and off, so long as their tastes match mine and I respect the reasoning behind it; and Rock, Paper, Shotgun, which is always unbiased, reliable, and smart enough to relate the subtle nuances that allow you to make up your own mind. They never do sponsored reviews and they avoid using the arbitrary, ambiguous artifact we call "ratings". (Here's a search for their various articles on A:I.)

Based on both those sources, this game has definitely earned a place at the top of my wishlist.
