Strange thing is that because this is the first cause that came to mind, I checked days ago whether my XBox 360 USB controller would cause a crash but it never happened. Maybe it has to do with other controllers. Anyway, Haeusse let us know if nebej 's fix it working or not. Test it with the controller plugged in to the system as it was before.

The fix works with the dongle. No more problems.

Another bug I found: No custom keys can be assigned to lean left and lean right. But I think this is already an issue in another thread.
