Some people have different tastes, some people says Amnesia sucks.
Minecraft isn't just a level editor, it is actually far more than that.
Classic isn't the only one out there, there is also Beta/Alpha/Infdev/Indev.
Graphics isn't everything, game play is.

You sir fail at logic. It's fills a niche like other games like tetris fill a niche, it fills the creative and destructive desires of the brain.

Who would have thought that a simple game where you could have fun creating/destroying stuff as complex as you want would appeal to quite a few people? What would the average person have more fun in.... Minecraft? Or the UDK?

It's all about effort vs reward.

And before you start saying minecraft is for dumb people, watch the youtube video where someone creates a working CPU in minecraft, that can do simple calculations like the Fibonacci sequence..
