to me it seems that there may be a bug with the post processing and motion blur
why dont you try to play the game in windowed mode too to see if that changes anything

It looks a little bit better but it's still the same. some edges have now appeared but it almost looks the same like the first vid. only slightly better now but still not being able to play with.

RE: Textures keep changing while moving around

I have exactly the same problem.

I applied the 1.1 patch and updated my drivers (ATI HD 5850): nothing.
I tried switching the graphical options on and off... nothing.

Any help would be appreciated, as it's one of my favourite games...

RE: Textures keep changing while moving around

Can only suggest to download the latest drivers from ATI. Then uninstall the old driver, reboot, install the new driver, reboot and play the game.

I tested with a 5870 mobility, using the latest drivers (that I downloaded today) and the game ran fine (it ran fine before I got the latest drviers as well) both with the default settings and with the settings maximized and native screen resolution. I also fiddled with different settings in the catalyst control center and they also did not cause a problem. This was on Windows 7 64bit.

Try to think of any sort of software conflict that could cause the problem if it remains, try to turn off and on settings in the catalyst center, perhaps try using a none aero theme for Windows while playing and so on.

RE: Textures keep changing while moving around

Installed the latest drivers, it didn't change anything, but I found out that turning the shaders to very low fixes the problem, even with all the other options maxed out. However the game looks terrible now.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I recently went from win XP to win 7 64 bits, so I'm not used to all this "run as administrator" thing, but running the game as an administrator seems to fix the problem... Any idea why?

if you have the same problem and Windows Vista or 7, right click the icon and select run as administrator. See if that helps...
